Description
Join work with Prof. Dr. Pietro Vernazza, MD, at the Infectiology department, St.Gallen Cantonal Hospital. The project aims at modelling the dynamics of HIV prevalence in Switzerland before and after the implementation of HAART treatment, and the impact of HAART on both the prevalence rate in the economy and the effect of such treatment on outcomes on social and economic outcomes (e.g., unemployment rate, educational choices, the dynamics in the family, etc.). The project also aims at evaluating interventions in the form of information campaigns that aim at increasing the probability of HAART adherence, and the effect of such interventions by socio-economic sub-groups in the Swiss population.
