Abstract (De)
Abstract english: The present article analyses the concept ‚responsibility' both as object of as well as norm for ethics and having done so develops an argument for the basic responsi-bility of ethics. The first part of this article is devoted to the discussion of the concept ‚re-sponsibility' and its facets of meaning. The second part of the article is meant to explore the question of the basic responsibility of ethics and of every person dealing with ethics respectively. In this connection, the article argues for a prospective responsibility to truth resulting from the character of ethics as the philosophy of morals.
