Abstract
This report establishes a framework for the conceptual design of scientific research and the practical implementation of visitor tracking in Swiss tourism. It is based on a comprehensive literature review, which forms the foundation for an empirical study on the acceptance of visitor tracking. The findings of the study provide the basis for implementing a deployable solution in collaboration with industry partners. Methodologically, the report combines a systematic literature analysis with a quantitative survey of tourists in order to identify acceptance factors as well as the opportunities and risks associated with visitor tracking. In addition, existing practical examples from Swiss destinations are analysed, and legal and ethical framework conditions are taken into account in order to derive practice-oriented recommendations for action.

Dieser Report schafft einen Rahmen zur Konzeption der wissenschaftlichen Erforschung und praktischen Umsetzung von Visitor Tracking im Schweizer Tourismus. Er beruht auf einem umfassenden Literaturüberblick, welcher die Basis für eine empirische Studie zur Akzeptanz von Visitor Tracking bietet. Die Resultate der Untersuchung liefern Grundlagen zur Umsetzung einer implementierbaren Lösung in Zusammenarbeit mit Branchenpartnern. Methodisch kombiniert der Report eine systematische Literaturanalyse mit einer quantitativen Befragung von Reisenden, um Akzeptanzfaktoren sowie Chancen und Risiken von Visitor Tracking zu identifizieren. Ergänzend werden bestehende Praxisbeispiele aus Schweizer Destinationen ausgewertet und rechtliche sowie ethische Rahmenbedingungen berücksichtigt, um praxisnahe Handlungsempfehlungen abzuleiten.
