Abstract
The NetAcademy [www.netacademy.org] is an internet based global research network. It is a federated system, where the content of different research communities (called NA Instances) is aligned by an exchange server (called NA Universe). It is also a modular structure, where each NA Instance can be assorted out of a set of modules ? around the basic module (called classic module) there are modules for e-learning, for journal publishing, for project management, for conference organization. The technology of the NetAcademy is based on open source systems. The goal of the NetAcademy developers is to eventually establish a living handbook on academic knowledge. Any interested scientific organized community is welcome to joint the NetAcademy. The paper present the unique selling propositions (USPs) of the NetAcademy and contact information.
