Abstract
This paper explores Swiss travelers' changing preferences and behaviors in the long-haul leisure flight market post-COVID-19-a topic not covered in existing literature. It aims to close the knowledge gaps within the currently thriving market movements. The research involved a comprehensive survey incorporating an Adaptive Choice-Based Conjoint study. The paper is structured around the survey, starting with general motivational and restricting factors for air travel customers and exploring their current travel behavior. The ACBC study offers insights into the customer preferences of predefined product attributes, including price sensitivity analysis. The demographic information then assures the distribution congruency and provides insight into the premium leisure customer group. The survey with 289 participants was conducted in Switzerland using a research panel.
