Abstract
Today, we like to think in terms of generation steps of some 15 years (Baby Boomers born between 1945 and 1960; Generation X, 1961-1980; Y/Millennials, 1981-1995; Z, 1996-2010; and now Alpha, 2011-2025). Each generation is ascribed special properties and characters. Such stereotypes allow for simplified classification and better understanding, yet we must bear in mind that every individual has to be regarded in their uniqueness.
