Abstract
Research about the assessment of computer simulation-enhanced learning is spare. The paper's contribution is to develop a measure to assess student learning using computer simulations (Microworlds). Three assessment instruments have been developed and evaluated. An exploratory application of the measures shows that only one measurement instrument is adequate; the others are rejected. The paper's contribution rests both on the positive testing of one instrument (multiple-choice based), but also on the rejection of two others (questionnaire).
