Abstract
Design-based and game-based e-learning has a huge potential of creating enhanced learning environments which foster entrepreneurial thinking and self-regulated learning. We introduce an instructional design concept, which combines different principles in order to use the high potential seen within the design thinking process and game-based scenarios. This approach was designed to cope with the trends of rapid technology implementation and the idea to use technology with its possibilities of engaging students in their learning process more effectively. We describe the outline of the concept with its basic underlying as well as the first experiences made by running this instructional design with student groups of different ages. Goal-based scenario, design thinking and design-based learning as well as game-based learning are fundaments of the instructional design concept. Throughout this combination a complex and enhanced learning environment can be created, leading to experiential learning and changes in entrepreneurial attitudes of the students.
