Abstract
This presentation describes components of an exploratory learning environment created with the support of Critical Exploration. In addition, current learning sciences research as well as case study research conducted in progressive higher education classrooms at HGSE are used to draw implications for the design of student-centered learning environments that engage students so that deeper learning is likely to happen in the university classroom.
