Abstract
In the tradition of the critical medical humanities, the research project Assisted Lab examines the interactions between law, medicine, and artistic representations of assisted dying across languages and cultures. A central component of the project is the "Living Archive of Assisted Dying," an online resource that gathers post-2000 cultural works and presents them in an encyclopaedic format. Each entry summarises the work and situates it within societal debates and legislative processes, providing evidence of its socio-political impact. This piece reflects on the challenges involved in compiling such an archive.
