Abstract
With over one million data sets datasets collected over a period of ten years the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) project is the world's largest database for entrepreneurship research. Our paper analyzes how GEM data is currently used in academic empirical research,
what kind of research methods are being used, and how future studies could use the GEM database to its full potential in terms of variables, methods and fields of application.
