Abstract (De)
It has been 50 years now since the pathbreaking book of Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann has been published. It was one of the most influential sociological books in the 20th century. This book is dedicated to celebrate its anniversary by contributions of significant scholars in the field. My chapter is dedicated to the variations of constructivism: The idea has swiftly spread into many different areas and has produced many different versions. I scrutinize the most prevailing versions and compare their differences, their commonalities, their strengths and weaknesses in the light of recent developments. I finally ponder the future potential of social constructivism as paradigm.
