A SCIL study, the first of its kind in the German-speaking region, examined the use of GenAI tools in corporate training. A total of 428 professionals from 37 teams across companies and organizations in the DACH region and Liechtenstein participated in the survey. Key findings reveal that GenAI tools are primarily used for creating learning materials, while other potentials remain underexplored. The majority of respondents perceive the use of these tools as productivity-enhancing and report positive effects on their professional roles. Critical prerequisites for successful application include access to high-performing tools, opportunities to experiment, and examples of good practices. Based on the findings, five action areas were identified: (1) establishing a shared understanding of GenAI, (2) formulating goals and strategies, (3) improving framework conditions, (4) fostering skills and experience, and (5) supporting reflection on associated changes. These action areas are relevant for L&D / HRD but can also be applied to other knowledge workers.deGenAI Bildung PersonalentwicklungGenerative KI im Arbeitsfeld L&D / PE.
