„Wo waren die Prüfer?“ Eine Frage, die sich nach der Fraud-Entdeckung aufdrängt. Verstärkt werden neben den Wirtschaftsprüfern auch interne Revisoren ins Visier genommen. Von der Hauptverantwortung der Prüfer darf nicht die Rede sein, auch wenn eine gewisse Verantwortung bei der Früherkennung existiert. Die Berufsstände der Prüfer in Sippenhaft zu nehmen wäre verfehlt. Doch die Stigmatisierung bleibt. Wem die Versäumnisse vorzuwerfen sind, werden laufende Untersuchungen zeigen.

La responsabilité principale des auditeurs ne doit pas être mentionnée, même s'il existe une certaine responsabilité dans la détection précoce. Il serait erroné de mettre la profession d'auditeur sous tutelle. Mais la stigmatisation demeure. Les enquêtes en cours montreront qui est responsable de ces omissions. La vraie question devrait être : Que pouvons-nous apprendre de tout cela ?
