Abstract (De)
Enterprise Architecture (EA) is a complex system that addresses the concerns of a large and diverse group of stakeholders. These concerns must be reflected in the models which are created and used in the EA management process. Current EA engineering practice positions EA primarily is a tool for IT architects. However, experience from visionary EA programs has shown, that EA is a most valuable source of information for application scenarios a diverse as business product portfolio management, IT/business alignment or security management. In this presentation we will discuss the most important EA application scenarios and characterize the corresponding EA stakeholder information requirements. Based on the analysis of mature engineering disciplines we present an approach which systematically elicits stakeholder concerns and derives a customized meta model from these concerns. We also demonstrate how this approach is supported by appropriate EA tools. Application experience is summarized from a case study in the financial services industry.
