Abstract
This thesis consists of three essays on dynamic household decisions over the life cycle and the estimation of parameters for the analysis. The topics include the estimation of income processes and progressive tax and transfer schedules in Chapter I, the savings and amortisation behaviour of homeowners in Chapter II, and the education choices of students facing drop-out risk in Chapter III.

Diese Dissertation umfasst drei Beträge, die sich mit den dynamischen Entscheidungen von Haushalten über den Lebenszyklus und der Schätzung von Parametern für die Analyse beschäftigen. Zu den behandelten Themen gehören die Schätzung von Einkommensprozessen und progressiven Steuersystemen im Kapitel I, das Spar- und Amortisationsverhalten von Hauseigentümern im Kapitel II und die Bildungsentscheidungen von Studierenden, die sich mit dem Risiko konfrontiert sehen, ihr Studium nicht zu bestehen (Kapitel III).
