Abstract
Sourcing of engineering services from India is increasingly gaining attention from Western aerospace firms such as European Aeronautic Defence and Space (EADS), Boeing, and many others. Since the industry faces rising competitions and cost pressure, the interests behind this sourcing strategy seem twofold: to enter the rapidly growing Indian defense and civil aerospace market as well as to reduce development costs. Yet, the Indian engineering sourcing market remains still relatively untapped since firms are challenged in selecting an appropriate sourcing stricture for (outsource) offshoring high-end aerospace engineering services.
