However, this essay takes a different approach by examining two television miniseries, WeCrashed and The Playlist. These shows provide unique insights into the governance practices of two high-profile start-ups, WeWork and Spotify. By reflecting on these narratives, I aim to uncover corporate governance lessons that are evident to viewers but might be overlooked by analysts.
