Abstract (De)
SummaryChanging buying patterns, new trade regulations of the European Commission and stricter stipulations for franchised dealers are driving the transformation of the automotive retail sector in Central Europe. Successful car dealerships need to exploit their market potential, establish continuous fulfillment processes for vehicle sales along with repairs and find an advantageous position in the automotive value chain. Integrated information systems enable new business concepts to meet these demands. This dissertation thesis develops a maturity model for automotive retail processes. Success factors for automotive retail show how car dealers provide added value to the customers and therefore raise their company value. The maturity model comprises four fields of action: market and customer development, order processing, value chain and information architecture. For each of these areas of operation it provides concepts, criteria and alternatives for realization.
