Ana is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of St.Gallen, Chair of Public International Law. She is also a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Geneva Graduate Institute’s Global Governance Centre, where she works on the project ‘Holding the Line: Genocide, War, and International Responsibility’. In addition, she serves on the Editorial, AI, and Podcast Committees of the Journal of International Criminal Justice.
Ana also works with the Directorate of International Law of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs on the project ‘Navigating Between Peace and Justice: Arrest Warrants and Peace Negotiations’, whose activities are still ongoing. Previously, she worked with the Geneva Graduate Institute, the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and swisspeace.
Her research focuses on public international law, international criminal law, international human rights law, transitional justice, the relationship between national and international law, international humanitarian law, and comparative constitutional and administrative law.
Ana holds a PhD from the Geneva Graduate Institute and Master’s degrees in International Law from the Geneva Graduate Institute and in Law from the University of Ljubljana.
