Abstract
Successfully navigating uncertainty is a challenge for entrepreneurs that demands adaptive and dynamic learning processes. Self-regulated learning (SRL) provides a framework for such adaptability, yet its application to entrepreneurship (SREL) remains underexplored. This study introduces a novel SREL framework and develops three empirically validated scales aligned with the SRL phases of forethought, performance, and self-reflection. Each scale captures cognitive, metacognitive, and motivational dimensions. Tested in the U.S. and validated in Europe, Africa and Asia, the scales provide a robust tool for assessing entrepreneurial learning, advancing entrepreneurship education, and empowering entrepreneurs to grow continuously.
