Abstract
Ever since the new Swiss data protection law, the question of how to properly handle data has occupied most tourist destinations and service providers. Dr. Mauro Gotsch is a scientific project leader at the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons and an expert when it comes to data strategies in tourism. In the interview, he shares the most important findings of his research and explains why a professional data strategy is especially important for tourism companies.

Spätestens seit dem neuen Datenschutzgesetz beschäftigt die Frage nach dem richtigen Umgang mit Daten die allermeisten touristischen Destinationen und Leistungsträger. Dr. Mauro Gotsch ist wissenschaftlicher Projektleiter an der Fachhochschule Graubünden und Experte, wenn es um Datenstrategien im Tourismus geht. Im Interview verrät er die wichtigsten Erkenntnisse seiner Forschungsarbeit und erklärt, warum eine professionelle Datenstrategie gerade für Tourismusunternehmen von Bedeutung ist.
