Drawing on organizational information processing theory, this study investigates how firms design intra-organizational integration in supplier assessment processes. Based on a multiple case study of four manufacturing companies, the findings show that firms configure supplier assessment through combinations of cross-functional integration, assessment scope, strategic prioritization, and technological assistance. The results further reveal that integration is inherently bounded, as firms selectively process supplier-related information based on its perceived usefulness and manageability, thereby balancing information processing requirements and capacity.Type:conference paper - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
